Poker at Rafi's

Last night we played poker at Rafi's. Present were Rafi, Yossi, Jonah, Eric, Nik, Adrian, and special guest star, "Da doo ron" Ron. Eric was the big winner, with 63 shekels in winnings. Jonah was the big loser. He lost 50 shekels. That's two thirds, or 66.6666666666% of his initial stake. He lost all that money despite playing quite well. Still, he did lose it. (I hope this detailed description makes up for the short description of his winnings a couple of weeks back.)
There was some apprehension regarding Big Ron's ability to take our x-rated banter, but that apprehension proved to be ill-founded when Nik most humoursly checked with him that he would be fine with Eric discussing the sex acts he performs with Ron's daughter. Ron reacted with good spirits and the tone was set.
Yoss made a lot of bad jokes and Adrian rang him up to tell him they were funny. We listened to a radio station with a mixture of great classics and terrible non-classics.
And of course the food: Rafi provided chili con (and sin) carne with rice. Proper cooking that was properly tasty. Well done Rafi.
The graph is interesting this week. It shows a small breakaway group of some men, some other men hovering around the zero, and Nik in freefall, heading toward bankruptcy. If only we'd started this chart in November, then Nik too might be hovering around the zero. Still, there's much more poker to be played.

So at what point do we start considering Gary a guest and stop tracking his "progress"?

I think someone who didn't turn up at all for about a year has no right to question the status of a founding member.

not sure about the editor's hardly subtle attempt to "remind" the readers that he really can actually play poker, it's just that lately he's been a bit shit and if only we could extend the graph back over the past 10 years we might even see some evidence of that. shame on you nik john.

Look Gary, there is no evidence anywhere on this website of my attendance record, good or bad, before the beginning of the blog.

I'm not saying I would be ashamed to have an attendance record like yours published over the internet, but.... I guess I am saying that.
